LaLiga club offers two of its best players to Real Madrid

Real Madrid are going to make at least some changes to their squad in the upcoming off-season. Players will be out of contracts, some would be bought, some would be sold. It’s all part of the plan, and it remains to be seen how it all pans out by the end of it.

Players like Gareth Bale and Isco are on expiring contracts, while the club would try to sell some players like Luka Jovic.

In the midst of all of this, there are a couple of players from a fellow LaLiga club that are being linked to Real Madrid. Well, they are being offered to Real Madrid, according to Hector Gomez.

Valencia are in a tough financial situation right now so they want to sell Jose Gaya and Carlos Soler to Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid or Barcelona for a combined fee of 50 million euros. Hmm. I don’t really know where to begin with this.

Real Madrid don’t need Carlos Soler or Jose Luis Gaya, with all due respect

OK, let’s look at this one player at a time.

Carlos Soler is, by all means, a very good football player, that has scored 11 goals in this LaLiga season. He’d start for many clubs in the league, but Real don’t really need him in their ranks, do they?

Kylian Mbappe would probably be joining next summer, and the club already has Vinicius Junior on the other wing, and Rodrygo would be more than happy to make an impact as a sub. Obviously, Eden Hazard would also get to play sometimes.

That leaves very, very limited minutes for any other player in those positions, and it just doesn’t seem likely that Real would spend 25 million euros on a benchwarmer. If we talk about the midfield, then, well, do you see him getting any minutes in this stacked midfield?

Gaya is a little more interesting because the club does need a back-up left-back. However, there are two things to consider: One, Real Madrid have Miguel Gutierrez to fill that role already, but if he does end up leaving on loan, then I think they can re-sign Fran Garcia for far cheaper than what they’d get Gaya for. And, Garcia is also much younger than Gaya, so I don’t really see the point in that, either.

These players are very good in their own right but Real Madrid won’t buy them just for the sake of helping out a fellow Spanish club. I could see one of them maybe moving to Atletico or Barcelona, but not to Real.
