Theo Walcott thinks Aaron Ramsey would ‘love’ to return to Arsenal amid rumours about a potential Premier League return, as he told talkSPORT on Wednesday morning.

It has been two years since Ramsey swapped the colours of Arsenal for Juventus and it’s fair to say that it hasn’t worked out for him in Serie A.

For instance, he has earned more minutes for Wales this season, than he has in Turin, which just sums up the situation that he is in.

There are suggestions that he could be Premier League bound in January, as a result, with the likes of Newcastle and Everton sniffing about for his signature.

But his former teammate, Walcott, admitted that he can see him donning Arsenal colours once more amid those rumours.

“I’ll find out, give him a call and pester him (on if he’s returning to the Premier League),” said Walcott.

“Do you know what, it would be lovely, it would be fantastic if he came back to the Premier League. I feel like he would want to.

“Some part of me in my head thinks that he would love to come back to Arsenal. It does. Something about that would sort of tick a box.

“It’s one of those things, he’s at Juventus and he played very well for Wales last night and it’s good to see. A lot of people have been on his back in Italy, which I haven’t seen a lot or enough of it to comment on that.

“But he’s a leader. He’s a workhorse. Still playing for his country and has all these caps.”

Arsenal could certainly do with a player of Ramsey’s ilk in the middle of their park, especially given his goalscoring qualities.

When the 30-year-old initially left Arsenal on a free in 2019, it was an emotional moment for the player.

If Arsenal came knocking for him, amongst other clubs in England top-flight, then it wouldn’t be a surprise if he picked the North London club over others.

But regardless of what Ramsey does, he needs a move as soon as possible because he doesn’t want to be heading to next year’s World Cup, if Wales book their place, half-cooked and with very few minutes under his belt.
