Wolves transfer news: Lage faces January conundrum amid Man United link


Hello and welcome to our Wolverhampton Wanderers transfer round-up on Wednesday, November 10.

Wolves will be looking to add to their squad during the January transfer window after summer incomings of Rayan Ait Nouri, Jose Sa, Francisco Trincao, Yerson Mosquera and Hwang Hee-chan.

With injury setbacks for Mosquera, Jonny Otto and Pedro Neto, this is another factor which may prompt the Wanderers to attack the market.

Bruno Lage has already expressed his desire in making Hwang’s loan deal permanent in what is thought to be a £14million deal.

Since completing his £18million switch from Middlesbrough three years ago, Adama Traore has been the most exciting player in a Wolves shirt.

Every time he gets the ball Premier League grounds go silent in anticipation of something happening. More often than not, Traore’s dazzling dribbles and rapid runs come to nothing – but that isn’t the point.

There aren’t many players whose talents are worth the admission fee, and an in-form Traore is unquestionably one.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with a move for Manchester United playmaker Donny van de Beek.

According to reports in the national press, Wolves and their Premier League rivals Everton are interested in signing the player on loan.

The Daily Mail claim that van de Beek has changed agents, enlisting the services of Ali Dursun who advises United defender Victor Lindelof and Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong.

Keeping Adama Traore in January is more important to Bruno Lage than adding new players to his Wolverhampton Wanderers squad.

Spain international Traore’s future at Molineux is in doubt as we head towards the January transfer window.
