Serie A Star’s Agent Is Refusing To Answer Phone Calls From Arsenal

Arsenal’s move for Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic is in danger of falling through because the player’s agent is refusing to answer phone calls from the Gunners.

Arsenal are leading the race for the highly-rated striker after North London rivals Spurs were deterred by the £68 million Fiorentina want for their prize asset.

A January move looked set to be on the cards for Vlahovic until his representatives started ghosting those high up at Arsenal.

As per Gianluca di Marzio, Arsenal have been trying to get in touch to try and convince the Serbian to join but they haven’t had much luck as of yet.

With all phone calls being completely ignored, Arsenal have unable to seriously progress in terms of negotiations.

Speaking on Sky Sport Italia, translated Italy 24 News, Di Marzio said: “In January, it is an impossible operation because Fiorentina are asking for €80 million (£68.3 million). In June, Juve are in the running as well as many teams.

“The team most interested in Vlahovic for January is Arsenal. The English club has established a dialogue more than positive with Fiorentina and would be willing to satisfy the requests of the Viola club to reach an agreement.

“The problem is that Arsenal are unable to speak to the player’s agents, they do not answer the phone. The Gunners want to talk to the boy to explain their project to him, but these lack of answers make it impossible to enter into a negotiation.”

Vlahovic’s contract with La Viola is up in 2023 and he has turned down a new contract at Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Juventus are also said to be keen on the 21-year-old and their interest could be a factor in why Arsenal are being aired by Vlahovic’s agent.

The former Partizan Belgrade man has continued where he left off this term, notching 10 goals in 13 appearances in all competitions.
