Tottenham target tuned in to January transfer after refusing Serie A renewal
Tottenham striker target Dusan Vlahovic has reportedly opted to turn down a contract renewal with Fiorentina.
Vlahovic blasted a hat-trick on Sunday as the Viola hammered Spezia Calcio 3-0 in Serie A. That took the 21-year-old forward’s goal tally to eight in 11 league games with his stature continuing to rise quickly.
The Serbia international is one of the most in-demand strikers in the world. He has been in talks with Fiorentina over extending his existing deal, which expires in 2023.
But those talks have now been shelved with Fabrizio Romano stating that Vlahovic has decided to turn down the offer on the table.
After scoring 21 goals last season, Vlahovic looks set to move on either in January or next summer.
The exciting attacker has seen links to Tottenham, Liverpool and Man City emerge over the last six months.
The Mirror claimed Liverpool’s Michael Edwards was planning a £77m Vlahovic transfer as his final act on Liverpool’s transfer committee.
Speaking at the Festival dello Sport, Fabio Paratici poured cold water on the notion Spurs could pounce.
“Dusan Vlahovic is appreciated by many clubs, it’s normal,” said the Italian. “He’s not in our plans, for now”.
Sport Witness (citing Tuttomercatoweb) claimed Paratici’s denial was a simple smokescreen. They stated the player was “in the sights of Tottenham”. And their desire for another frontman is only likely to increase with a new boss now the order of the day after Nuno Espirito Santo’s sacking.

He decided to turn down Fiorentina proposal to extend the contract and he could leave the club in January/summer.

Vhalovic eyes Juventus
Reputed journalist Gerard Romero recently claimed Vlahovic is the subject of interest from Barcelona over a move in January.
Meanwhile, the latest from Italy from Tuttosport is that Vhalovic wants to move to Juventus.
Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that Juventus are unlikely to spend big on a striker and a midfielder in January. So it will be one or the other, while Fiorentina would much rather sell him to a non-Italian team.
